Jessica is an ATP, CFII, MEI rated pilot flying as a First Officer for Spirit Airlines. She is a member of the International Society of Woman Airline Pilots, a member of Women in Aviation, and a founding member of the Treasure Coast chapter of the 99s.
She began flying during the summer of 1998 at Florida Institute of Technology, where she attended a month long summer program to get her private pilots license. She attended Florida Institute of Technology from 1998-2002 and graduated with two bachelors degrees, one in aviation management and one in aeronautical science. While at Florida Tech she became involved in promoting women in aviation through several different leadership positions in her collegiate Women in Aviation chapter.
In 2001 she completed an internship with the training department of Express Jet Airlines. Jessica flight instructed from 2002-2005 in Merritt Island, Florida, Lincoln, Nebraska, and Omaha, Nebraska, before getting hired at Express Jet Airlines on the Embraer 145 in 2005. She spent 10 years at Express Jet airlines before getting hired in 2015 at Spirit Airlines.
Jessica is currently based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, flying the Airbus 320 series aircraft throughout the United States, South America, and the Caribbean. She and her husband, Nick, who is also a pilot, live in Port Saint Lucie, Florida and have two children, boy/girl twins born in June of 2013. When she is not flying or working with the 99s she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, paddle boarding, cooking and exercise.
